Current Positivity Rates are Suspect
I have been posting the positivity rates since the beginning and the latest crop are insanely high. With lower numbers of tests the positivity rates are through the roof.
If the Positivity Rates are valid then why are the Active Cases not keeping pace with what the positivity rates tell us they should be?
With all the data the government provides including positivity rates, it is high time they started posting the cycle counts used to arrive at those positivity rates. Cycle counts over 35 generally begin to produce false positives at a higher and higher rate.
It is time for everyone to once again watch the PCR 101 video once again.
Ontario Results as of April 04, 2022

As one can see from the chart of actual numbers posted by the Ontario Government every day at Testing volumes and results | COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Ontario the positivity numbers are 19% which based on the number of tests this day should result in 2,127 new Active Infections yet the Active Cases for this day only went up by 551. Here are the Active Cases and Test Numbers for April 04, 2022.
- Is it possible the cycle counts being used are above the recommended limit of 35 for accuracy?
- Is it possible most of the positivity numbers actually result in false positives?
- Why are the Active Cases out of step with what we should see as new infections based on the positivity rates?

Conclusion
‘Something is rotten in the State of Denmark’ so to speak making it is high time the government starts to provide the cycle counts being used to arrive at these positivity rates.
